Our MPPG students are currently placed in the following organizations for the Summer Internship Program 2022

Internship Details:

Ms. Vanshika Singh

Ms. Vanshika Singh recently finished my internship at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology as a public policy intern.
 
The tasks allotted to her  throughout the period:
Her predominant responsibility was as a consultant to the tech policy team working on national level projects like DigiLocker, Umang (a mobile app providing one stop for all govt. services) and Poshan Tracker wherein I had to aid them in finding policy problems and discussing its solutions. 
 
She was fortunate enough to be a part of the Digital India Week celebration at Gandhinagar, Gujarat which commemorated the 8th successful year of digital India campaign. It was a national event inaugurated by the H’onble, Prime Minister wherein he launched different schemes and services, one of them being the National E-Book and I had a major contribution in designing its content. It basically highlights the success of e governance schemes in all the states, across the nation which fetched me an insight on the varied projects being run nationwide thererby grounding my knowledge on digitalisation of India. 
She also was the Emcee for the India Stack Knowledge Exchange Sessions (the online live sessions of DIW celebration) wherein I moderated 6 session for 3 days and got a chance to interact with esteemed leaders of digital india ecosystem like developer of UIDAI, Aarogya Setu app, Cowin, ISRO scientists and many more. The youtube link for the same is attached below. Besides, I aided the team in preparing the press releases (published on My Gov platform) and was involved in several other organising tasks. 
 
She also aided in the policy designing of an e-commerce platform known as E-shilpmart being rolled out by the Ministry of Textiles under Ms. Smriti Irani.
 

Ms. Meheli Roy Choudhury

Meheli Roy Choudhury internship was at The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH, better known as GIZ. I was an intern in the NDC-TIA Project which stands for Nationally Determined Contributions-Transport Initiative for Asia, India segment. She was involved in designing an index that evaluates the Electric Vehicle (EV) readiness across the states in India on 2 levels: policy readiness vis-a-vis actual deployment of the policy instruments on ground. Apart from this, she has been involved in reviewing the policy documents for EV and renewable energy integration for Bangalore city under a policy readiness project. I have also extensively reviewed the Punjab EV Draft policy which has been shared with Department of Transport, Government of Punjab.
