  • October 8, 2025

The School of Governance and Public Affairs (SGPA) successfully hosted the Model United Nations Security Council (MUNSC) and Live Poster-Making Competition, organized by the Xureaucrats Club on 8 October 2025 at XIM University. The event brought together brilliant young minds from leading schools across Bhubaneswar for a day of debate, diplomacy, and creativity.

The MUNSC focused on the pressing global issue of “The Security Implications of AI and Autonomous Weapons in Warfare.” Delegates engaged in thoughtful and intense deliberations, analyzing ethical, political, and military dimensions of emerging technologies in warfare. The session concluded with all participating delegations coming together to draft and adopt a joint resolution, marking a remarkable demonstration of consensus and cooperation.

Parallelly, the Live Poster-Making Competition challenged participants to express their perspectives on “The Ongoing Israel–Palestine Escalation and Regional Spillover.” Through art and visual storytelling, students showcased a deep understanding of global peace, conflict, and humanitarian values.

The event concluded with an award ceremony celebrating the exceptional performances of all participants.
