The School of Governance and Public Affairs along with Xavier Law School and School Of Sustainability in collaboration with ReAct Asia Pacific, hosted an impactful webinar focusing on Antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The session featured keynote speaker, Ms. Julian Nyamupachitu, along with Dr. Hyfa Ali and Dr. Ijyaa Singh who enlightened us with a thorough exploration of ReAct’s global role in combating AMR. They discussed the importance of addressing AMR and shared valuable insights from ReAct Africa on engaging youth in these efforts using an informative presentation. The speakers offered practical suggestions for enhancing youth involvement in AMR initiatives. Towards the end of the webinar, an engaging questionnaire round was held, allowing participants to address their concerns and gain further insights into effective strategies for youth engagement and tackling Antimicrobial Resistance. Overall, the webinar was a success, underscoring the urgency of the issue and the vital role young people play in addressing its impact.
