Aathmana V. J., a BA-PAG student, completed an impactful internship with the Forum for Integrated Development and Research (FIDR). She contributed to Viksit Bharat @2047 through policy research on Odisha Vision 2036 with the Koraput District Collectorate, mapping socio-economic indicators, framing recommendations, and presenting them to Mr. Manoj Ahuja, Chief Secretary, Government of Odisha.
Shreya Singh, a BAPAG student, gained remarkable exposure during her Summer Internship by attending and contributing to high-profile conferences, from AI & Ethics and India’s Act East Policy to the Global South & Triangular Cooperation. Shreya not only engaged with global leaders, including the President of Paraguay, but also served as part of the rapporteur, media, and logistics teams.

Taasha Mishra, an MPPG student, represented XIM University as a panelist at the Odisha Conference of Youth (OCOY 2025), held at ASBM University, Bhubaneswar, on 11th August 2025. Speaking alongside national experts, she shared fresh perspectives on climate resilience, water security, nutrition outcomes, and non-communicable diseases, drawing insights from her impactful internship experience with UNICEF.
Taasha Mishra, an MPPG student, has successfully completed her Summer Internship Programme with UNICEF, Bhubaneswar.
Her internship focused on child health and nutrition, with a strong emphasis on policy advocacy and analysis. She also contributed to mapping South Asia’s nutrition policies and explored the interlinkages between climate resilience, water security, and healthy diets. Through her internship, Taasha engaged in evidence-based policy recommendations and gained valuable field exposure through visits to hospitals and Nutrition Rehabilitation Centres (NRCs).
Komal Bajpai, an MPPG student, successfully completed her Summer Internship Programme at the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), New Delhi. Her research on unpaid care work highlighted its pivotal role in advancing women’s economic empowerment and promoting inclusive policymaking. She also authored an insightful article on Gender Responsive Budgeting, published in the Dakshin newsletter. Komal actively participated in notable events such as the IMEC Conclave, the Conference on AI and Ethics, and the Global South & Triangular Cooperation Conference, gaining valuable exposure to global policy and development perspectives.
Richa, an MPPG student, completed her Summer Internship Programme at NIT Patna on “Evaluating the Effectiveness of State-Driven Heat Action Plans in Urban India: A Comparative Study of Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, Delhi, and Patna.” She also earned a Certificate of Completion from the GIAN Workshop on Sustainable Urbanism (May 19–30, 2025), where she engaged with distinguished Indian and international faculty. Her internship and workshop participation deepened her understanding of climate governance, urban resilience, and sustainable development, while providing her the opportunity to present her research work.
Sanim Hussain, an MPPG student, completed her Summer Internship at the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), New Delhi from April to June 2025. During the internship, she conducted impactful research on the Global Development Compact and South-South Cooperation, presented a research paper, and contributed as a rapporteur at international conferences. Sanim also actively participated in high-level policy dialogues, including the IMEC Conclave, the Conference on Global South & Triangular Cooperation, and the AI and Ethics Conference, gaining valuable exposure to global governance, diplomacy, and inclusive development.
Karina Kumari Biswal, an MPPG student, completed her Summer Internship at the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), New Delhi. During her internship, she worked on a research paper titled “Who Is a Woman in STEM? Inclusion, Exclusion, and the Erased Identity of Transgender people” and served as a rapporteur in several major international conferences. Her active participation in the IMEC Conclave and the Conference on Global South & Triangular Cooperation provided her with valuable exposure to high-level policy dialogues and global policy processes.
Dhara Desai, an MPPG student, completed her Summer Internship Programme at the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), New Delhi. Her work focused on Climate and Environmental Policies, including a critical study of the EU Green Deal – Farm to Fork Strategy and its trans-border implications. Dhara also gained practical exposure by participating in the IMEC Conclave and the Conference on Global South & Triangular Cooperation, serving as a rapporteur in multiple sessions, including the Special Session on Agriculture with ICRISAT. These experiences enhanced her expertise in policy research, global cooperation, and knowledge diplomacy.
Jyoti Krishna Parida of SGPA advanced to the National Debate Finals at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, held on 13 October 2023. Congratulations to Jyoti Krishna Parida, 2nd Year BA-PAG student of SGPA for being selected as a FINALIST in the National Policy Debate Competition to be conducted at the prestigious Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The event ‘PRAJATANTRA 2023’ is organized by the Praja Foundation, in collaboration with the European Union, UN-Habitat, U20, and Friedrich Nauman Foundation. He will be the only candidate representing XIM University and the State of Odisha at the National level competition.

Arohi Girishbhai Prajapati our 2nd Year student appointed in Gujarat Agro industries corporation ltd. March 14, 2022. One of our second year students viz. Arohi Girishbhai Prajapati has been appointed as a consultant with Gujarat Agro industries corporation ltd. Gujarat agro has been appointed as state nodal agency for the effective implementation of FPO scheme. She shall be providing her services as consultant in the field of FPO / FPC for social mobilization of farmers to establish effective governance and management of FPO/FPC. Alongside she will be again working on the effective implementation and monitoring of schemes such PMFME, PKVY and other schemes and policy connected to agriculture sector. The current number of FPO/FPC functioning is 100 for the upcoming accounting year where each FPO/FPC will consist of at least 300 Farmers.
