To foster policy dialogue and engage with the budding minds, the School of Governance and Public Affairs (SGPA) at XIM University organized a dynamic policy conclave on February 26, 2024, in collaboration with Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar (BJB) Autonomous College, Bhubaneswar.The Policy Conclave featured esteemed Chief Guest Dr. Sabita Harichandan, Associate Professor in Political Science at BJB College. Dr. Harichandan’s keynote address on “India and Emerging Global Governance” provided valuable insights into the evolving dynamics of global governance and India’s role in shaping international policies. The highlight of the Policy Conclave was the policy auction competition, where students showcased their analytical and persuasive skills by proposing policy solutions to contemporary issues. Engaging extempore speeches further enriched the discourse, allowing participants to articulate their perspectives on pressing policy challenges. Their innovative ideas and critical thinking exemplify the caliber of talent present among aspiring policymakers. Following the competition, all visiting students were given a guided tour of the SGPA campus by dedicated SGPA students and faculty members. This provided an opportunity for prospective students to familiarize themselves with the facilities and resources available at SGPA and gain a deeper understanding of the academic and extracurricular offerings.
