Policy Analysis & Action Series (PAAS) – I “National Education Policy 2020”

The School of Governance and Public Affairs launched a new initiative called ‘Policy Analysis & Action Series’ (PAAS). The purpose of PAAS is to create a platform to organize dialogue and debate series on public policies. As part of the inaugural dialogue on the National Education Policy 2020, Prof. Kancha Ilaiah Shepherd, an internationally acclaimed social and political thinker delivered a thought-provoking talk.. In an astute analysis, he pointed out some of the limitations of the policy in terms of regional language requirement; the lack of strongly Indian curriculum and the absence of a critical understanding of the socio-religious influence on education and society at large.
